Dear Friends
“Thanks be to God for His Unspeakable Gift”, II Corinthians 9:15. What a Mighty God we serve!! What a blessing to serve together with all of you faithful prayer warriors and donors. Our heartfelt thanks once again for your investment in Eternity through our work in Awana. We appreciate so much your gifts and your prayers. Without you it would be impossible to move forward in this work.
We very much felt lifted up by your prayers and gifts as we prepared for and put on the 40th year Conferences. All the intense work that was put into preparing for the conferences paid off as both SD and HI Conferences were well received. Leaders were encouraged and equipped for the year ahead to reach out into their communities with the Gospel of Christ. We thoroughly enjoyed our leaders' meetings and club visits on Maui plus the Missionary Night and club visits on the Big Island.
Now that we have been back for a week, we are back in “mainland mode”. (we get a chuckle out of the island bumper stickers that say “slow down this ‘ain’t’ the mainland”). We have been out to church and club visits every night but two.
We thought we would just share one of the amazing testimonies, similar to those which we heard repeatedly from conference attendees.
Dear Nancy and Gene, I was tremendously blessed by the conference this year. I went like a stubborn donkey this year thinking I had other important things to tend to as well, but God led and I finally listened and I am so glad I did. Mr. Rorheim was AMAZING and it is easy to see why your ministry is as strong as it is with a mentor such as he is. The whole opening program was wonderful. Then the 7-year old Sparkie was incredible. All in all, the classes I took were completely relevant to what I do in Awana as well as being encouraged by the Pastor from El Centro who taught on more effective devotion time.
Thank YOU for everything you both did to make this conference so successful as well all of those folks who assisted, I know you had a lot of help. Please pass this message along to Mr. Rorheim and whomever you wish to say thank you.
We trust that each of you will enjoy your family times in the coming celebrations of Thanksgiving and Christmas. We are looking forward to seeing our newest granddaughter, Thank you to those who fervently prayed for her safe delivery. She didn’t make a complete turn and was 5 days late, but all went fairly well. We will get to see all of our grands during this Holiday season, plus Gene’s mom, bro and one sis.
May God bless you and your families.
